Ruta Vala for Insomnia and Depression

      by Melodie Kantner

Ruta is an oil that Gary discovered and distilled in Ecuador (see below). VaLa stands for Valerian and Lavender. So RutaVala is a combination of Ruta Graveolens, Valerian and Lavender.
RutaVala 5ml, Order Code: 3419

I am so impressed with the new oil blend RutaVala. If you haven't tried it yet, I really encourage you to do so. It is wonderful for insomnia. I keep a bottle of it next to my bed and use before bedtime or if I wake up in the night and can't get back to sleep. It is so calming and relaxing. RutaVala is also good as an antidepressant.

Listen to the audio at the link below, on how useful RutaVala is and how to use it.

How to Use RutaVala:

-l5-20 drops in water or caps.(although some people feel effect with just 2 to 3 drops in water)
-bottom of feet
-back of neck
-breathe
-put on temples
--Use with raindrop, massage, auricular application.

Here are some very brief personal notes on this new blend.
HINT: Think sleep and relaxation!

• Ruta is an unusual oil in that contains certain compounds that modulate brain function.

• From experiences at the Ecuador clinic, this blend is said to balance the sympathetic override which is a factor in diseases. When it comes into balance, disease states dissipate.

• For both men and women, the root cause of the decline in estrogen and testosterone is related to the sympathetic override. Estrogen and testosterone increase after suppressing the sympathetic override.

• One Ecuador clinic patient had an 80% drop in cortisol in 12 hours after taking RutaVaLa and was then able to sleep after not being able to.

Applying RutaVaLa to the back of the neck can help lift ,

About Ruta graveolens (One of the oils in RutaVala) Ruta is one that helps with depression. Several people were applied with Ruta on the back of the neck right in the concave at the base of the skull and an hour later they reported that all depression was gone. A couple ladies had been on several kinds of medications for 12 years and nothing had helped and with just one application all depression was gone. It improves the attitude, depression and modulates the brain function, fevers, menstrual cycle, rheumatism, aches and pains of all kinds, and it reverse stickiness of the blood platelets.

Gary places Ruta graveolens on the back of the subjects' neck, on the soft spot before base of skull, (hits neurotransmitters) a good place to put the oil.

Order RutaVala Today!
                  You’ll be glad you did!

Be sure and listen to the audio at the link below, on how useful RutaVala is and how to use it.

Experiences with RutaVala for Insomnia

I've been battling insomnia for years. I've tried almost every sleeping/anti-anxiety drug known to man, and they either don't work, or I'd wake up feeling drowsy or find myself with other side effects. My problem is both falling to sleep and staying asleep. Honestly I didn't expect anything from RutaVala, considering I had developed a dependency on Ambien which caused it to stop working. But my massage therapist Julie, highly recommended at least trying it. It took a few days of my sticking with the RutaVala, but on night three I got into bed, felt myself sink into the mattress, and the next thing I knew my alarm was going off. I couldn't have been more shocked --
I think I actually got out of bed and said "no way". The taste at first was a little off-putting, but I now concentrate on the lavender part and it's incredibly comforting. I've also now associated the taste with sleep, so when I recently packed my little bottle in my purse for a trip, just the smell of when I opened my bag made me think of bed!

My prescriptions list was extensive as: valium, ambien, restoril, lunesta, xanax and ambien. Crazy, I know! I now put 10 drops of RutaVala in an inch of water and drink it right before I get into bed, take a few deep breaths to inhale the oils.
In gratitude
Dana

Yoga Health and Essential Oils

Yoga is an ancient discipline that originated in India. It focuses on joining the physical and spiritual bodies through poses (asanas) and meditation. Archaeological discoveries suggest that yoga originated sometime between 3300 to 1700 B.C.E. Today, yoga is experiencing increased popularity worldwide as a form of relaxation, a way of deepening the mind/body connection, and as a method of total-body exercise.

Essential oils naturally complement yoga by supporting physical and mental strength and focus through the science of aromatherapy. Essential oils are extremely versatile and have many practical applications in yoga, including techniques for complementing pranayama, meditation, relaxation, post-practice, and for cleansing and purifying. Essential oils are also used to activate and balance the energy centers—or Chakra System—of the body.

Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ essential oils can create an environment that supports deeper yoga practice. Watch Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee talk about integrating Young Living essential oils into their yoga practice.

A better path to Wellness, Purpose and Abundance

Rejuvenate Your Skin
May 10, 2011

As summer approaches there is a lot of talk about detoxifying your body for weight loss, but our skin is often overlooked. However, nothing can substitute for a fresh, radiant complexion! Take the weekend to treat your outer layer to some much-needed detox and pampering that will treat your insides, too. Here is an easy regimen I have tried and love:
Day 1

Evening

Clear your clutter. Straighten up, do a load of laundry, and clear the coffee table or counter. This will get you in the right place for inner cleansing.

Stock your fridge. Prepare to fill your body with healthy foods. Antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables help repair and prevent damage to your skin. Avoid all alcohol, tobacco, and refined or processed foods.

Purge your products. Give your skin time to rebalance by putting away everything except your cleanser, day lotion, and night cream. (Your ART® Skin Care System will more than suffice!)
Day 2

Morning

Drink warm tea. Look for blends that include nettle, ginger, burdock, dandelion, or sarsaparilla root. These herbs and flowers are known to calm inflammation and improve liver and kidney function. These teas also help eliminate puffiness around the eyes and decongest your skin.
Afternoon

Give yourself a massage. Encourage elimination of waste by manually moving lymph through the lymphatic system. Massage your neck, armpits, stomach, and behind the knees. These areas contain lots of lymph nodes.
Evening

Fake a facial at home. Pour hot water into a small bowl and add a few drops of citrus essential oil. Soak a hand towel in the water, then wring it out and drape it over your neck. Lie down for 10 minutes and let the steam open your pores, prepping your skin for the detoxifying mask that follows. Look for masks made with clay, which absorbs excess oil and pulls toxins and impurities out while adding beneficial minerals.
Day 3

Morning

Scrub your body. Exfoliate with a body scrub that removes dulling skin cells, boosts circulation, and pumps toxins from the body, such as Young Living’s Satin Facial Scrub™ Mint. You can also make a great body scrub at home with just the following:

    2 cups coffee grounds
    1/2 cup sea salt
2/3 tablespoon massage oil. (You can create your own using massage oil using V-6™Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex and a few drops of your favorite essential oil.)

Afternoon

Sweat it out. A brisk walk, jumping rope, or yoga helps eliminate toxins from your body. The deep breathing of yoga also stimulates the lymphatic system and brings cleansing oxygen to the body. Sun salutations in particular will nurture as well as detoxify; try those or twisting poses to activate your digestive system.
Evening

Apply a mask. Spread a few tablespoons of raw honey over your face. Next, apply cucumber slices on top of the honey and then lie down. Cover your face with a warm, damp washcloth to allow honey, a natural humectant, to seal in moisture. Honey’s anti-inflammatory properties also help reduce irritation and redness. Cucumbers, which act as diuretics, will further flush out excess fluid and relieve any puffiness. Leave on for 15–20 minutes and rinse gently.

This three-day skin vacation will leave you and your skin refreshed and revived. Let me know how it works for you!

Thyromin 101: Basics You Should Know

April 7, 2011

Thyromin™ plays a key role in Young Living’s new, fortifying QuadShield™ four-product kit by supporting the gland that is often most susceptible to radiation exposure—the thyroid.

Consider the processes the thyroid influences in the body: metabolism, growth and development, body temperature, etc. Young Living’s Thyromin contains a proprietary blend of bovine-derived thyroid powder, adrenal extract, and pituitary extract, as well as herbs, amino acids, minerals, and essential oils that support healthy thyroid function. If you’re not already familiar with this best-selling, thyroid-supporting supplement, take a look at the ingredient information below:

Iodine is an element needed for the production of thyroid hormones. Because the body does not produce iodine on its own, it can only be obtained through diet or supplements. Iodine is a key component of Thyromin, giving you 1,158 mcg per serving.
Vitamin E supports enzymes in the body that convert inactive thyroid hormones into active thyroid hormones. Likewise, Thyromin contains 30 IUs, 100 percent of the daily value.
Under-performing thyroids can also cause potassium deficiency, which can lead to imbalances in many other important minerals in the body. Thyromin contains 66 mg of potassium.
The essential oils in Thyromin—peppermint, spearmint, myrtle, and myrrh—may have a synergistic, protective effect on your hormonal and immune systems.
Peppermint essential oil is one of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs and is known for aiding digestive efficiency and supporting the liver and respiratory system.
Spearmint essential oil is a rich antioxidant that helps support the nervous system and overall balance in the body.
Myrtle essential oil is supportive of the respiratory system, skin, and hair, and it has been researched for its effects on glandular imbalances.
Myrrh essential oil contains some of the highest levels of sesquiterpenes, which are a class of compounds that have a direct effect on the hypothalamus, pituitary, and amygdalae, the seat of our emotions.

If you are desiring thyroid support, or if you’d like to help safeguard your body from future issues, check out Thyromin and the entire QuadShield product kit at www.youngliving.com. Best of luck on your journey to optimal health!
